TAD COMPACT EVOLUTION ONETAD-CE1TX
EXQUISITELY HONED TO PROVIDE AN IMMERSIVE SOUND-FIELD EXPERIENCE
The critically acclaimed TAD-CE1 speaker system was
known for its innovative design inside and out to
reproduce musical sounds down to the last detail of
the original—without adding or subtracting anything
that might alter the subtleties and nuances intended
by recording artists and producers. We have taken the
already impressive performance of the CE1 to the next
level when designing the new TAD-CE1TX—by
incorporating refinements and innovations inside and
out.
The TAD-CE1TX gives a whole new meaning to the
two-channel reproduction of music. The CE1TX combines
the pinpoint localization of sound images with
three-dimension-like sound-field reproduction between
the right- and left-channel speakers to create a
“being-there” experience for a listener. You would
feel as if you were in a recording studio, listening
to musicians play their parts.
The CE1TX has exquisitely honed its quality to provide
an immersive sound-field experience to you.
TECHNOLOGIES
CST Driver
MORE NATURAL AND CLEARER MID-TO-HIGH FREQUENCY RANGE
The CE1TX boasts TAD’s proprietary CST (Coherent Source Transducer) Driver, which localizes sound sources for more natural musical reproduction. In this ingenuous design, the directivity of the concentrically mounted midrange and tweeter is finely controlled and perfectly aligned to eliminate even the smallest disruption of sound. Just like tweeters found in TAD’s top-of-the-line R1TX and CR1TX speaker systems, the CETX1’s tweeter uses a beryllium diaphragm manufactured with our proprietary vapor-deposition technique. The midrange features a newly developed diaphragm made of magnesium, which reproduces a clearer, distortion-free midrange. The result is consistent sound image localization and a natural sound field reproduction over a ultra-wide frequency range from 250 Hz to 100 kHz.
BASS Driver
RICHER AND SMOOTHER MID-TO-LOW FREQUENCY RANGE
We have upgraded the diaphragm for the 18 cm woofer to a MACS II* diaphragm. It is made of five layers of woven and non-woven fabric to optimize the vibration characteristics of the shell-shaped diaphragm that integrates the center cap and cone into a single piece. Other ingenious woofer design features include a molded rear cradle that fully conveys the powerful driving force of the large neodymium magnet, and the turbulence-suppressing aerodynamic design of the rear side. Our attention to detail even extends to the material, configuration, and finish of the surround: The corrugated surround is coated with damping material, which is also found in our professional speaker units. All these refinements have resulted in a richer and clearer bass and the smooth, coloration-free reproduction in the mid-to-low frequency range.

IMPRESSIVELY NATURAL AND RICH BASS
Another innovative approach we have taken to achieving ideal sound is the Bidirectional ADS* Port. It places slit-shaped ports (ducts) in right and left side-panels with flared openings to the front and rear to allow air to flow smoothly through them. The symmetrically placed port openings, both laterally and along the front-rear axis, reduce port noise and keep internal standing waves from escaping from the ports. You will be amazed at how such a compact speaker can deliver a roomful of rich, powerful bass.

MIRROR-FINISHED ENCLOSURE
The CE1TXーWN is housed in the classy grain wood enclosure to add a mirror finish that gives
the illusion of a wet surface and makes the grain stand out.
The enclosure of the TAD-CE1TX-K has a classy mirrored piano-black finish.
In the manufacturing line, skilled artisans spend hours finishing each enclosure with meticulous care, beginning with applying high-grade, clear coating to the surface and buffing the base coating and finishing with surface polishing.
